Hackers have replaced the Irish Catholic page with a cute video and a link to the Irish Atheists page. I really should scold such deplorable virtual vandalism, but, well, instead I grabbed a quick screen capture before it gets taken down.

I thought the video was pretty funny, too, mocking the silly costumery of the Catholic hierarchy. Alright, hackers, you were naughty, don't do it again … but you did make me laugh.

Good news — it's not a hack at all. Those clever Irish atheists merely beat the Irish Catholics to their domain name…so it should be up indefinitely.

It shocks and disgusts me to think that the major world leaders fawn over the Pope. Why!?!?

WHY allow this idiot with no political experience to influence politics everywhere (he could command Catholics in Country X to have Leader Y impeached).

Jack Chick (another Grade A loon) argued that the Pope secretly controls all the World Governments as part of his plan to rule the world (he's the AntiChrist, don't you know). Could he be right?

avatarThat is the funniest thing I have seen for a long time. I love how it only took a minimal amount of tweaking.

avatarOkay that was brilliant. The speech was very moving too. I can understand why their solar system was spared.

avatarGeorge Lucas would be proud. We need to get this thing some publicity, it's a good message with lots of potential.

avatarAbsolutely brilliant. saw this on pharyngula two days ago... laughed so hard I cried. To an alien visiting earth, this would be no stranger than what's really going on.

I am pretty sure this is from Time Trumpet. Armando Inanucci wrote and presented it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_Trumpet

It written like a nostalga "I love the Early 21st Century" type program set 30 years in the future. Its a little hit and miss but can be very funny. Tesco's Invasion of Denmark is very funny. They lampoon Blair alot and "Rape an Ape" is just odd. Most of TT is on Youtube.

From the Unitarians, maybe? They light a chalice at the beginning of their services.

avatarI shared this video with a believer friend and when I asked what she thought she said she couldn't finish watching it because she didn't understand what they were talking about! It was almost funnier than the video. Not. Maybe she didn't get it because she's a lutheran.

I, ex-catholic thought it was the funniest thing I'd seen in a long time.
