Jared Scheib is a director and artist-entrepreneur based in Los Angeles, California. He earned his B.A. from the University of Southern California, where he studied film production in the School of Cinematic Arts and neuroscience as an inaugural member of the Brain and Creativity Institute. In 2011, he completed his first feature documentary film, "The Mayor", which is currently playing festivals internationally and gained official selection for its world premiere at DocAviv Film Festival in Israel and its North American premiere at Lone Star International Film Festival in Jared's home town of Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. His documentaries have also been exhibited at the Directors Guild of America in Hollywood and on Texas and Israeli television. Jared has directed for the stage as well and is developing and slated to direct two more one-person plays, in addition to two science/skepticism-themed feature films. He is excited to continue to create media in the field of secularism after winning the Richard Dawkins Foundation's "Ten Point Vision of a Secular America" video contest with his spec commercial, "Do You Believe in a Secular America?" Jared believes that content is king, and to that end he imbues his works with tenderness, subtlety, and intensity, striving to emphasize what makes art meaningful: honest emotion.
