Dear Professor Dawkins,
I don't exactly have as interesting of a story as anyone else. I grew up in a secular home, but I was still brought up as a Hindu. I was taught to believe in evolution, climate change, the big bang, etc, but I was supposed to have a belief in god.
I guess I was a skeptic, but I really didn't care. I had never opened my eyes to what happens when you have mass delusion. I thought of moderate religion as a good thing until just a year ago.
After *Religulous* and *The God Delusion*, I knew that I wasn't some kind of mild Hindu. I was an atheist. After a few months, I 'came out' as an atheist. I have never been prouder of anything else in my life. It's a huge weight off your chest when you can proudly say "I'm an atheist".
Thank you. I wouldn't be the same person without your works. Since I am in American, my world would be a whole lot more annoying without reasonable voices like you, Bill Maher, etc...
