I am a 22 year old university student in America and I have just finished your book The God Delusion. I wanted to thank you for your book and for your contribution to the subject of atheism. Normally, I would simply expect a scholar to do their duty to expand the collective mind and intelligence and take it as a responsibility that they hold to the world. Howeverer I think that you have given me something beyond that, the freedom and courage to question the Catholic doctrines of my upbringing and challenged me to think for myself.
When I took your challenge, you presented me with arguments of great substance that I can feel good about, rely on and work with. That is important to me because I am in the process of coming to terms with what it might mean to be an atheist and I am educating myself both is the theological arguments for God as well as books like yours in order to come to a most reasonable conclusion. I was thrilled by the directness and soundness of logic that I found in your book and I look forward to reading other books of yours. Thank you for your time and efforts.
