I just want to thank you for having the courage to tell it like it is. After reading you and Christopher Hitchens, I realized many people think like me. I was semi-bombarded by religion as a kid. My grandpa was a preacher and most of my family were Baptists. It made me feel wrong or punished and guilty for having subversive thoughts about god and religion. I rest much easier now. Thanks again. Only sad part is that my family tends to shy away from me in certain respects. It's cool, I'm al right with myself and it.
The real problem at the core of all this is education or the lack of it. There is so much brainwashing and ignorance. I'm from the U.S. and I can't believe the stuff that goes on here. Education in this country is subpar and somehow religion has crept its way into everything. Honestly, I don't think there will ever be an atheist president. Or one who could admit it. Which is sad because either the Prez is a liar or deeply deluded. That's just the surface of the deep, deep problems here.
But anyway thanks again, and keep pushing on in your quest to bring truth and reality. I think common sense will prevail...?
