Dear Dr. Dawkins,
For reference, I am a 23 year old woman attending college in the US.
I've been a skeptic for around a decade now, but only began to become completely atheistic in the past year. It was bound to happen, but books by Daniel Quinn and yourself helped push me over the line and into freedom. "The Selfish Gene" was like the last piece of the puzzle. For my 23rd birthday, my dear husband purchased me the shiny hardcover copy of "The God Delusion" and I am currently about halfway through and enjoying it thoroughly. In fact I started to search my campus for atheist organizations for students since there are many for religions. I found nothing and I feel inspired to start something, and I think I will. I know that it is important to get atheists together and look at local issues and promote ourselves as something more than the heathen, moral-less, hateful creatures we are made out to be by religious leaders and followers alike. Thank you for widening my horizons.
