Hello, Mr. Dawkins.
My name is Eddie Painter, and I am a sophomore. My father, Ed Painter Sr., and I have been reading books of Atheistic stature. We had previously been Jehovah's Witnesses until about 7 years ago. My father still held some of the beliefs, such as an omniscient, omnipotent (a now joke in our family) Christian god. We have both read the Bible a multitude of times, and reached the same conclusion about a year ago. The Christian god is not only spiteful, but jealous and demanding diety. However, until my aunt Maggie, which went to one of your events near here and actually shook your hand, presented two books to us. The God Delusion and God is not Great. The mind-opening message was not the only thing that caught our interests, but also the moral values associated with a tempered mind. That being said, I would like to thank you for being one of the people to open both of our eyes. I speak for us both when I wish that reason always guides you sir. We look forward to your next seminar near here.
A fellow fan of reason,
Edward Arthur Painter Jr.
