For Immediate Release

Washington DC, Monday, 9 July 2012 – The members of the Clergy Project extend their congratulations and best wishes to Teresa MacBain, acting Executive Director who has been named the new Public Relations Director for American Atheists.

A former Methodist Minister, Teresa MacBain will be an excellent asset for American Atheists and though we are saddened to have her leave her position at the Clergy Project, we are excited and happy for Teresa as she takes on this new role.

“It appears Teresa has responded to a 'Higher Calling.' We wish her well as she utilizes her talents to make this world, the only world that matters, a better place." Dan Barker; Cofounder and Chair the Clergy Project, CO-President FFRF

“Teresa’s new occupation could not be more fitting and I could not be more proud of her. She is both an example of success for our fellow Clergy Project members and a clear voice of reason for the non-believing community.” Jerry DeWitt; Executive Director, Recovering from Religion

“I am so happy for Teresa! As the Clergy Project’s first female graduate she is an excellent example of the skills and experience of our members. Her success is a testament to her hard work and determination!” Catherine Dunphy; Secretary, the Clergy Project
