Phelps explains that The Clergy Project is “yet another harbinger of what this nation has become” and is “emblematic of a comprehensive curse over this land leading to ultimate destruction.” Phelps says that members of The Clergy Project are “flipping off God denying he exists” while “pulling down their dirty britches” and mooning the churches they have been improperly given authority over.

Lizz Phelps has messages for specific members and supporters of The Clergy Project including Dan Barker and Richard Dawkins.

Commenting on Dan Barker, co-president of the Freedom From Religion Foundation and co-founder of The Clergy Project, Phelps says, “He thinks he's so clever. He pulls upon his personal failure to obey God and offers the slippery, deceitful suggestion to others that they also defy the living God. That will be the start and end of him. He is going to be responsible for his own rebellion and teaching others.”

Phelps also has words for Richard Dawkins – founder of the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science and supporter of The Clergy Project. Phelps explains, “There is nothing special, unique, or creative about Richard Dawkins. He's old and stale. He needs to stop his brand of perversion, fear God, and obey God.”

The consequences for members of The Clergy Project, Phelps explains, can be found in Revelation 21:8 which notes, “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, the who practice magic arts, the idolaters, and all liars – they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

Lizz Phelps says, to members of The Clergy Project, “How awful of a circumstance you have placed yourself in: a wretched curse, a great sorrow. A great and terrible day of judgment is around the corner. Fear and obey God.”
