While leading a faith community is both a spiritual gift and great honor, it is also a great responsibility. Priests, ministers, rabbis, imams, or other leaders are assumed to have strong and permanent faith, but sometimes faith can be lost. What happens if a leader realizes one day that he no longer possess the faith that he espouses? Does she continue living a life in ministry or does she walk away from everything she has known and worked for? On this week’s show, you’ll meet one former faith leader who went through this experience, Catherine Dunphy. Catherine now serves as the executive director of The Clergy Project, a group that works to help faith leaders who have lost their faith.
