Scott Burdick found himself swept into the event after viewing a video where rally attendees, waving a multitude of Christian flags, cheered to the speaker's proposition of "encouraging" those who do not hold the Christian viewpoint to move elsewhere. While his initial reaction was one of rage, Mr. Burdick decided to take a different approach and went to the memorial to film and interview people. To his amazement, he soon discovered that many individuals held the belief that the Separation of Church and State is a myth and that the Founding Fathers intended this country to be a Christian Nation. They used David Barton's historical facts as a source for their claims to the point that Scott wondered if what he'd taken for granted might be incorrect.

What began as a small project soon blossomed into a year and a half long journey as Scott dug to discover the truth and source of the idea of Separation of Church and State. This video interviews half a dozen different religious groups in the area asking what they believe and why they do. This story quickly became as much about what we believe about God as what we believe the Founders of the United States - how we evaluate truth itself.
