"God gives us markers. Those are some of the markers he gives us. He gives us markers, you know, markers. Markers markers markers. Markers."
Okay, not an exact quote, but I found that part funny.

I faced the same issue when I was getting my electrical engineering degree. Fortunately, at the school I went to, WPI, many of the professors held the view of testing the students on the concepts. I do very well at memorization, so I would often get A's in classes structured like that, but it was more satisfying to get a B in a difficult conceptual type of course.

I predict that IF they try something at the Olympics the damage will be minimal but the retaliation will be severe. You can't just go and attack the Olympics using a giant heavily-observed mosque as part of your strategy. Then when you try, you'll have over 200 countries pissed off at you. Maybe it'll even get the whole world in the Team America World Police state of mind. Yee-haw!

"...name one ethical statement made, or one ethical action performed, by a believer that could not have been uttered or done by a nonbeliever."
Simple:
"I believe in God and I think murder is wrong," "I believe in God and I think stealing is wrong," etc. There list could go on and on!
I think this proves I am smarter than Christopher Hitchens.

I say that an individual who consciously rejects their hardwiring is honorable. The act of eliminating the hardwiring biologically is not honorable but it is desirable.

Grolaw, if you've seen "The Most Hated Family in America," the documentary about them available on YouTube, you'll see that there is nothing that could possibly make them go away. Maybe hope for some of the kids, but the adults will be doing this until the day they die. They're the only people in the world who are going to get into heaven after all!

Oh, "dummy" is "pacifier" in American-talk. I did not know that. I was thinking dummy was used in the sense of "ventriloquist's dummy," which confused me thoroughly.
