1. Interview with Richard Dawkins

It just baffles me that anyone still gives any credence to religion.
Amsterdam here I come.

The RRS is like the annoying, boisterous, alcoholic cousin who shows up to a party to which he/she is never invited. They just make it awkward for everyone else.

3. You can't be moral without God!

I always pose to them the following question: "Are you telling me that the only reason that you don't run over people in the crosswalk is because your god instructs otherwise?"
-If they answer "no", then you have demonstrated to them that morality is innate. Therefore, their god should be unnecessary.
-If they answer "yes", I always say that I don't believe them and that I believe them to be intrinsically better than that. I may ask say "I don't believe in god and I am a moral person. How do you explain that?" If they say something about Satan's deceptive hold on me I walk away, all the while wanting to throw them off a bridge, but resisting. :)

Unfortunately I can never point my Christian friends to her lecture, due to her major mix up of Ham and Hovind. Quite a shame and a waste of an opportunity for her. She blew it in the first 30 seconds. All credibility gone.

5. Debate between Richard Dawkins and John Lennox

Why must I as an agnostic have to defend my beliefs to Christians? It seems ludicrous. I'm so fed up with people of "faith". I don't know what to do though, because alot of them are my dearest friends. I want to retain them as such in my life, but I don't think we can ever really broach the subject without creating a permanent rift. It's quite disconcerting.

Did anyone else read Timothy Noah's as well as Christopher Hitchens' separate articles on Slate.com about Big Bad Jerry's passing? They are succinct, erudite, factual accurate and bring a huge smile to my face. If you have time, check'm out.

7. Bill Maher interviews Christopher Hitchens

mortiz...
I'm sure Maher has wanted to flip off his audience many a time, but as the host he cannot. Maher's thinking is in line w/ Hitchens. That why he's such a sympathetic one-on-one interviewer.

8. Hitchens vs. Hannity on Religion and God

Pi Guy...
I think you are right. It's an intellectual laziness along with a fear of being struck by lightning. How else could otherwise intelligent people be so stupid?
