1. Science of the Soul? 'I Think, Therefore I Am' Is Losing Force

I find it amusing that the religious community has to backpedal every time that science calls into question their belief system. What is even more laughable, is that they create whatever it is they need to justify their position, no matter how ridiculous. The good news is that the more progressive believers are finding themselves with less wiggle room between belief and science, and since they seem to be unwilling to deny obvious facts, eventually, it seems, they will have to give up their faith. As for the fundamentalists, as the progressives move into our camp, the fundies will become more and more isolated, and therefore marginalised. I think we are on the right path, though, it seems that this will be a long journey.

Walking over hot coals has a very simple explanation. While the soles of our feet are rather thick, its not the real reason. The coals actually are very poor conductors of heat, and not enough heat is transfered to actually burn your feet. If it were metal at the same temperature, you'd be in touble.

Great show, but its sad how suggestable we really are...

What exactly are we (atheists) so certain of? I would say nothing really, but I would agree with the author that certainty will sell you short. Problem is, he seems fairly certian that god exists. I guess he is selling himself short...

4. If It Feels Good to Be Good, It Might Be Only Natural

Isn't it obvious that God made us that way!

Sorry, couldn't resist. It seems to me that the evidence contiues to stack in our (atheist's) favor. If people would simple view the evidence, it is quite obvious where the answer lies, but the question is, how do we get the believer's attention?
