Brilliant as always, Christopher.

Gymnopedie, you too hit it on the head. "He's no theocrat, he just wants a theocracy!"

3. Response to My Fellow 'Atheists'

Comment #77105 by Alex Malecki on October 8, 2007 at 1:25 pm

As articulate and clear as Harris usually is with his words, and as he is in this particular speech, I'm amazed that it has so easily been misunderstood. He is arguing against using the term Atheist as some extra leg on which an argument could stand. He is arguing against using our non-belief as some kind of political trump card the way religious organizations use their belief trump card to say whatever it is that pops into their mind and to justify all their arguments. Good reasons and rationality should always be top priority.

4. CNN Request for 'I-Reports' on religion

I wrote:

Religion is certainly under attack in modern society, and this is fortunate for all humankind living now, and those who will live in the future. Science and reason are corrosive entities that wash away the human impulse to believe in the cosmic significance of our species. In reality, every being that has ever walked this planet has been but a chemical reaction inside a grain of salt in the vast cosmic ocean. How wonderful it is to have such a tool as science to deflate our ego inflated misconceptions.

5. Sean Hannity with Christopher Hitchens

Comment #54845 by Alex Malecki on July 9, 2007 at 6:00 am

Hannity is a demagogue, who quite clearly, as Hitchens pointed out, hasn't read any of the argument against his position.
