1. Richard Dawkins Public Lecture - Liverpool 08

Marvelous lecture! My comment is to the gentleman who wants to just leave the Muslims alone in the hope that they too will fade away as the Christians have done. How much death and destruction is he willing to bear responsibility for in the next 500 years as this process takes place? The question here is what is the cost of letting religion take over--as it threatens to do in quite a few of the more liberal, tolerant societies in the world--fighting it here and now seems to be a good place to make the stand. Thank goodness for those with the courage to do so: Dawkins, Harris, Dennett, etc. I personally believe the cost to be too high--and apparently so do all the rest of the atheists on this site. Keep it all going! Many thanks to all who do so!

I noticed somewhere here that the Baha'i Faith was mentioned in a long line of religions. The Baha'i Faith promotes itself as being the most progressive world religion with new social laws but sharing the spiritual laws as all the other monotheistic religions. Lest anyone not know, the Baha'i Faith is no different conceptually or in practicality as Judaism, Christianity or Islam. Although no one pays much attention to it because it is so small and seems the most benign of the world religions, the doctrine does conform to the Abrahamic Progression and the concept of World Peace lies solely with global conversion to the precepts of the Faith itself. It is the most modern, passive and non-violent of all the major religions, and many consider it to be the best possible choice for today. Having said that, I am in agreement that keeping the discussion open and honest and on-going is the best possible way to have people realize that having no faith in the supernatural is the most rational approach to life. It would allow us to break with the past norms of identity and help each other embrace the future as a unified whole.

Fabulous! Grayling says it all and says it exceedingly well! Clear, concise and definitive! Also, I think so much appreciation needs to go to everyone who continues to visit this site and then speaks up for critical thinking and rationality! Thank goodness the truth is finally being spoken and shared. Never before has such an opportunity existed to have global discussions and influence so many within such a short time. Perhaps this time humanity may break through the lies and come out to reality: it is time to put religion aside for good.
