Yes! Dawkins for Prime Minister!
I wonder what the list would look like for American personalities, and if any of the other 3 Horsemen would show up on that list.

"Evolution Not Random"
We didn't know this already? I think I'm missing the significance of these findings...

I saw a copy of this out a couple weeks before Christmas at a Borders, so I guess it's just now going to other stores?
Oh well. It's good news because I can now purchase copies of this book for my friends who otherwise would not read it. Paperback = cheaper = good for broke college students!

I'm in chapter 3 of this book, and as with all Michael Shermer books I find it to be very informative. I hate that the tour won't come anywhere near me (Houston, TX), but I can't blame Shermer. I'm sure the destinations were chosen because they would bring in the most people.
(However, I won't be so forgiving if Professor Dawkins' schedulers have him avoid Texas (where a promotion of skepticism is so sorely needed) for this upcoming TGD book tour.)

Lagomort,
After the Scopes trial, Creationism was hurt in that many people saw it was BS, but people became wary of challenging it due to the large battle that would certainly ensue.
I look forward to watching this video, but to anyone who wishes to know a detailed account of this very, very interesting trial, I recommend reading '40 Days and 40 Nights' by Matthew Chapman. A very entertaining read.

Shermer touched on this subject briefly in his previous book, Why Darwin Matters. I have a few friends who are socialists, and I look forward to sharing this book with them!
Also, I hope no one who frequents this site is hypocritical enough to judge this book just from an article about it and instead reads the book and judge for his/herself. Readers of Dawkins/Harris/Hitchens/Dennett should know better than to do such a thing, after seeing these authors so often dismissed from the start.
