"Flyby pictures taken in 2005" and now it is being reported?

2. Chasers war on everything: Evangelicals

That was great. In five minutes, I was confused at first with Copeland, angry with Murdoch, then laughing at the end. Brilliant!

I forgot to add Center for Inquiry. Thanks Kal'el.

Romney speech reflects inaccurate understanding of church-state relations:

Any worries people have after watching the speech must know there are organizations keeping America the way our Founding Fathers want it to be: religion out of the government. For example,

Americans United for Separation of Church and State
www.au.org

People For the American Way
pfaw.org

Moveon.org

First Freedom First Foundation
firstfreedomfirst.org

Freedom From Religion Foundation
ffrf.org

Secular Coalition of America
secular.org

And of course there is the Richard Dawkins Foundation, the Rational Respond Squad, Infidel Guy, Pat Condell, Nick Gisborne, and so many others throughout the Internet. Don't forget religion is declining among America's youth as well.

5. Evolution Debate Led to Ouster, Official Says

Comment #92808 by Mister_X on December 1, 2007 at 1:57 pm

As soon as I heard about this, I filed a complaint to Texas Education Agency on this issue. I live in Texas by the way. I am disappointed and upset this is happening that TEA would be neutral between evolution and I.D. Why, I asked in my complaint. 'Would Ms. Comer resign if she was biased against astrology,' I asked. If they come after me being biased against I.D., I will be ready with questions on the validity of I.D.

6. Georgia gets rain, but it may not help

Comment #88463 by Mister_X on November 16, 2007 at 8:10 pm

It should be noted that the governor announced that they would be praying for rain after the weather service had issued its forecast predicting rain.

I KNEW IT! It makes so much more sense than believing rain can spontaneously appear after prayer. To be honest, I got spooked when rain was in the local forecast just two days (I think) after the prayer. I could not know for certain that was rain in the forecast before the prayer.

7. The Psychology Behind Cults/Religion

Comment #87192 by Mister_X on November 11, 2007 at 12:22 pm

It is possible every person is brainwashed not by a religious authority but perhaps something much 'smaller.' I admit I, too, might be brainwashed into thinking drinking milk helps me lose weight. In fact, grown people, few but not all, are afraid to walk underneath ladders or believe chewing gum remains in the stomach for seven years. Fortunately, these people are not trying to pass laws denying people who do walk underneath ladders or do not believe chewing gum remains for seven years in the stomach from marrying.

8. The Psychology Behind Cults/Religion

I agree brainwashing can and does take place in cults and religions but brainwashing isn't just limited to religion and/or cults. People can be brainwash to a certain political doctrine or agenda as well to a point where they are loyal to that doctrine no matter what. Look at Fox News (most of it). Like the article says, you don't need abuse, isolation, or emasculate to gain control of a mind. People can be brainwashed into most anything to believe. Doubts can your best friend sometimes.

9. The Pentagon Sends Messengers of Apocalypse to Convert Soldiers in Iraq

Comment #64013 by Mister_X on August 17, 2007 at 9:32 am

Just great.

To Xtians fundes, Iraqis don't want us to be there. Besides this won't bring the second coming; I can guarantee that. Don't give me that you (Xtians) are doing god's work in fighting in Iraq. People would not normally do their boss' work when the boss isn't doing their job unless you are kissing up to please.

"Nevertheless, the 110th Congress, which took office this year, included for the first time, two Buddhists and a Muslim."

Excuse me. What about U.S. Rep. Pete Stark (D-Cali.)?

He identifies himself as a non-theist and is representing California's 13th district. Anyone?

11. Must the US president believe in God?

12. Must the US president believe in God?

Comment #57636 by Mister_X on July 20, 2007 at 11:29 am

Must the U.S. President believe in God? I say no. A candidate should be voted for their qualifications and not based solely on their belief of an imaginary friend. Look what happened with Dubya. "It's possible that too much talk of religion might drive those votes away." Some progress is being made. I am optimistic America will be an absolute secular nation in my lifetime like Sweden or Japan.
