1. How to reconcile Richard Dawkins?

This writer drove me nuts throughout the article. I wish people (critics of the 4 horsemen especially) would start realizing that atheism is a necessary condition for enlightenment, for true mental freedom, but it is not a sufficient one. one must also be rational, humanistic, tolerant (to a degree), etc. not believing in a god says nothing of a person's whims, desires or torments. you can be an atheist and a mass murderer or you can be an atheist and work to better humanity or anything in between.

2. The New Atheism: An Interview with Mitchell Cohen

Johnny O, i think the auther is simply asking the obvious and often asked questions to get direct and coherent responses. sort of the way christopher h. has, in his own articles, asked himself questions as if he is an interviewer with the opposite opinion. allows him to answer the question one time and when asked again by a religionist (or whoever) he can just say, i've answered that question and you can find it here.

3. Griffin's 'offensive' Emmy speech to be censored

People, don't get your hopes up too much about her as an "out" atheist. This is a quote from the NYT;
"Griffin's reaction to the imbroglio, according to a statement issued by her publicist: "Am I the only Catholic left with a sense of humor?"
Seems like she identifies herself as being Catholic. Without asking her though it's hard to know. Take from it what you might.

also dazzjazz check out Christopher Hitchens' book "The Missionary Position - Mother Teresa in Theory and Practice ". It shows M.T. as she really was - an incredibly horrible human being with no concern at all for the poor and dying. Plus C. H. is such an amazing writer. Everyone should read it.
