For the life of me, I cannot understand the "converts."
I can certainly understand for someone to have a religion because it is "Daddy's shit" and therefore it becomes mine.
But, what is beyond me is that why would someoe leave his own shit and take someone else's shit?.

Most religions are an "all or none phenomenon". Either you beleive in them in entirety or you get cured from the mental disease that you were most likely born with. All these books that are from supposedly peaceful religions like Islam or Judaism or christianity will always be full of hatred and ignorance. Remember Quran and Bible are supposed to be word of God. If these books are full of hate than any interpretations of these books are to be full of hate as well. It's not these books that are a problem as such because most of the violent and bigoted followers of reliogions probably cannot even read these books. Problems in this world will always be blind followers and the wicked religious leaders. Quran is nothing more than a twisted version of Bible that Mohammad used to fulfill his personal agenda and of course Bible has to a twisted version of some other material that Jesus and his cronies used to turn people into puppets. If you doubt in these books you doubt in the word of the "Big Guy". You cannot have a religion if you do not beleive in the hate.

Anybody aware of such a group in US. I do not have enough expertise, otherwise I could have started such a blog here. Being a Pakistani in US with absolute disbelief in any imaginary big guy and dealing with absolute morons everyday (my wife included) is real tough on me. But if it was other way around (Me being religious and wife an "apostate"), it could never ever work. I have first hand experience of the horors and crimes that religion brings to the society. I grew up in Pakistan. But I understand completely that evolution takes time and eventually the millions of poor Pakistanis who are kept stupid and ignorant in the name of religion will evolve. It will not be in our lifetime though.
But the sad and pessimistic point is the so-called educated and professional muslims who owe every success in their life to their adopted countries and they are so much in hate towards their adopted homelands. Some of these are the 2nd generation in the west. I am such an outcast in the community that if I was not in New York, I could have been murdered by my neighbours in my country of birth just because I know that evolution is a fact and God is man-made.
