1. Open Letter to a victim of Ben Stein's lying propaganda

I'm an atheist and a (cultural) Jew. I guess by that guy's logic I want to kill myself!

But seriously, I hope Dawkins gets a reply to his letter-- a NICE reply-- though I'm not holding my breath.

The only reason that these other kids aren't being taken away is because this incident had to do with religion... and we have to "respect" it, despite the fact that this resulted in a child's death. I am guessing they're Christian Scientists? How did the kid even live for 30 days without insulin shots or whatever?

Happy Birthday, Richard! You have it on the same day as Leonard Nemoy, Robert Frost, Alan Arkin... and my mother. :)

Happy birthday to someone whose books gave me a greater appreciation of science and a new way of looking at the world! :)

Is this staged? I'm suspicious about the pauses between replies.

Dr. Dawkins,

I can't say this surprises me. I do want to see this movie, mostly out of morbid curiosity... mostly to laugh at the idiocy of the far right. Incidentally, great review.

For anybody who's interested, here's my own jab at the idiocy of the far right (satirical articles in which menstruation is outlawed as it "kills babies"): http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/45860/a_satire_of_the_abortion_ban_in_south.html

For the thing in NYC this Saturday, how early should one get there?

At these book signings (like the one in NYC this weekend) is it okay to bring the book if you already have it, or do they expect you to buy a new one if you want it signed?

When he comes to NYC on 3/14 and 3/15 are those two events (the one and BN and the other at Columbia) 2 different events, or are they essentially the same thing?

Miracle of childbirth? That's purely based on emotion. At any rate, I think if anything it's a miracle when children aren't born, considering how the population is exploding out of control!

Guess this guy hasn't read "The Blind Watchmaker."

Oh, and 90% of people can't be wrong? That just shows what SHEEP people are!!!
