1. Arguments Against Evolution

Even reputable Christians will often claim that nature is "red in tooth and claw" *because* of the fall of man. What makes this claim bizzare is when the same Christian claims to believe in evolution. Because if they believe in 3.5 billion years of evolution they have to concede that nature has been developing it's "red in tooth and claw" barbarity for billions of years before there was any man around to "fall". May seem obvious but I've heard it time and again from Christians and nobody points this out to them.
[Sorry if this is in the wrong section, it didn't really fit anywhere.]
2. Science owes its origins to Christianity or Religion

In 100 years, Christians will be taking credit for the acceptance of gay marriage, the amazing success of embryonic stem cell research, and human genetic engineering to make a more peaceful, intelligent, and compassionate species. They will claim that only a Christians society would have made such advancements possible. Ha!
3. You can't be moral without God!

D'Souza stated while debating Hitchens that Christianity introduced the idea of spiritual compassion to the world. But Buddhism predates Christianity by 500 years and centers itself around the cultivation of spiritual compassion. To boot, Buddhist don't believe in a god. I wish Christopher would have pointed this out, but I suspect he didn't want to credit any religion for anything. But D'Souza was just factually wrong on that point and he got away with it.
