1. Atheists are nice people who will roast in hell, says Cardinal

Comment #177863 by athegan on May 9, 2008 at 8:56 pm

Wait a minute..... what IS Allah's version of Hell?

Hell in Islam is similar to that of Christianity. Fire that you burn in forever and everytime your skin completely burns it is replaced with a new one and you burn all over. It is made up of seven layers where the deepest one is the worst (we, atheists, belong here). Only one kind of food exists in hell known for its bitter taste and that results with extreme thirst (no water in hell, naturally :p). Above hell, there is a fine rope (called in Arabic, "Al Sirat Al Mostakeem") which you have to cross into heaven. If you have not been awarded eternal torment (you qualify for heaven after paying for some sins), your punishment is that you can't cross this rope fast enough to avoid the torture of the heat from hell under you. It may take hundreds of GOD years (1000 human year) to cross it to Heaven. People who have no sins cross it "faster than a blink of an eye". Once you make it into heaven, that is also seven layers....(the question didn't include a description of heaven)*

Thank you...

* A lot of details can be added to this version, but this is what all Muslims agree on since it mostly comes from the Koraan or "Strongly Sourced" (can't be doubted) quotes by Mohammad....

3. Islam in Europe

I first heard of him when "Hook,Line and Rapture" was posted here and subscribed to his youtube account....

Here is the question, Would an atheist who was a muslim for the first 19 years of his life, just apostatized a year and a half ago and totally agrees with Pat Condell be called an Islamophobe?

Certainly he can't be called a racist :P

Keep them coming Pat; smart, true and funny as usual

Four of the most brightly coloured, oddly shaped, intriguing beetles, with the caption, "John, Paul, George,Ringo and one million other species of beetle wish Charles Darwin a happy birthday!"

Sounds good to me :)

Happy Darwin Day everyone and lets work on the cards !!

6. New Findings Confirm Darwin's Theory: Evolution Not Random

Comment #113437 by athegan on January 19, 2008 at 3:09 pm

An opposing theory says evolution takes place through randomly inherited and not necessarily advantageous changes. Using the giraffe example, there would not be a common neck-lengthening trend; some would develop long necks, while others would develop short ones.

Who advocates this opposing theory?

11. For the glory of God

The Dalai Lama recently said that all religions teach compassion and belief only becomes a problem when believers are "not really serious, not sincere."

One wonders if the "sincere" version of religion he is talking about is that of people who tend to leave behind any parts of their religion that becomes inconsistent with the time and place they live in. Don't they see that provided enough time (if there fundamentalists don't destroy everything) every religion will become history eventually if that version is to be adhered to?

12. Malaysia firm's 'Muslim car' plan

Comment #87680 by athegan on November 12, 2007 at 8:14 pm

A real breakthrough in car manufacturing and industry...A place to keep a book and a piece of clothes!!! Is that really a priority for the Muslim world? Can't they somehow see that they have bigger problems to solve!!!
