3. Hitchens and Boteach Debate on God

Comment #127941 by The Anti-Pope on February 15, 2008 at 7:15 pm

Unholy crap I'm watching it right now, up to the part where Boteach's going on about Gould, and his immense stupidity and beleif that given even infinte time something like that could happen (which it is stupid to assume that it couldnt given enough time) and he is annoying the SHIT OUT OF ME! By Darwin, how do these people get away with call Dawkins shrill and unresearched, this guy is a living avatar of those two traits!

4. Are Darwin's Theories Fact or Faith Issues?

7. Morality and the 'new atheism'

Comment #119807 by The Anti-Pope on January 31, 2008 at 8:11 pm

"So if you're thinking of becoming an atheist so that you can murder, rape and pillage... think again."

*Hides the giant sword splattered with baby brains*

Oops.

"Okay, maybe a bit of light "out-group" pillaging then. Just a bit."

Hell yeah, sign me up :D Catholics first, a bit of revenge for the last 1000-odd years :D Do we just go "viking style" or can we do it like my avatar (V from V for Vendetta for anyone who dosnt know)and go terrorist?

8. Atheism and Violence

Comment #117851 by The Anti-Pope on January 29, 2008 at 8:01 pm

Ah, so many stupidities, so many fallacies, so much biased interpretation of facts, so little time!

"But their arguments are shopworn, stale hand-me-downs and threadbare heirlooms inherited from an era that was fading away even before the French Revolution had made the connection between atheism and violence clear to any fair observer."

Yet I fail to see even a single new one from his side of it! Good Gandhi, these people make me sick! The only reason we don't produce new arguments with any regularity is because we have already put to death all of their arguments a million times, the only reason they don't produce new arguments is because they have nothing left to offer! It is quite sad when people like this guy actually think this is a sign of weakness from us rather than a sign of the overwhelming strength of our position.

I'm not even going to try to better the arguments put forward as explanation for Stalin and Mao, because, once again, that argument has been put to death and yet somehow managed to still survive so many times I'm starting to believe in resurrection! It was the evil nature of the individuals, coupled with the intelligence that would have spawned their atheism in the first place, put on top of their obvious personal love of power and dogma that created those atrocities, not the fact that they were atheists! The people who keep pulling out this ridiculous argument have got to accept the fact that it has been destroyed so many times that it should be embarrassing to be caught using it!

I swear to the Flying Spaghetti Monster, one more article like this and my head is going to explode!

Comment #115923 by The Anti-Pope on January 25, 2008 at 4:03 am

I personally think that it is good they are doing it- Heath Ledger is way up there here in Australia, atleast here in WA anyway, the public backlash will be enormous :D serve the self-righteous, evil, nauseating bastards right.

12. The empty myths peddled by evangelists of unbelief

Comment #97337 by The Anti-Pope on December 11, 2007 at 11:02 pm

Yes, Dawkins says we are special because we can rise above our genes, but he doesn't need religious inspiration to realise that, and neither does anyone else- I certainly didn't, the fact is we have brains large and powerful enough to actually do this, to think and go against our natural instincts, but this does not in any way point to an all-powerful creator so much as the amazing ability of evolution to shape us, because after all, if god made us all, and loved us as the religious claim, then put these rules in place would he not have made it so that we COULDN'T think for ourselves or go beyond our built in needs and then make said built in needs a desperate need to worship him?

Obviously, religious claims that god loves us enough to put these rules in place for our own good and that he gave us the free will to break them is a massive contradiction and points either to an incredibly cruel or incredibly stupid/powerless god, or to his non-existance. Take your pick, theists!

This guy is clearly too stupid to realise this or he wouldn't have said that Dawkin's comment was rooted in Christianity (unless ofcourse he is one of those people who doesn't fervently beleive so much in what they are saying as in the power of what they are saying to sell books :D).

13. Biologist fired for beliefs, suit says

Comment #96110 by The Anti-Pope on December 10, 2007 at 2:36 am

By Eris (I'm an atheist Discordian :D) I swear I cannot grasp the way these people think, how could they be a biologist and not accept evolution? It reminds me of 1984 doublethink (only recently read it, great book!), it's just so odd.... creationist biologist trully is an oxymoron in my opinion.
