Tempe: Sold out already, and I just read about this 5 minutes ago.
I wish I could be there, but either way, glad it's filling the seats.

Alexmzk: Nobody looks to the bible as a book on religion or spirituality these days, they've got thousands of books interpreting the bible for them.
That takes away the need to do any heavy lifting in their heads.

I just wish Brian hadn't said something that sounded very much like, "Oh my god, what a numb nuts" when Kirk brought out the Crocoduck. ABC thoughtfully brought his mike up so we could hear him at that point.
"Numb nuts" was completely appropriate, but the "god" bit was completely out of line. :-)
Kirk and Comfort are, unfortunately, much more comfortable "performing" in public, and that did make them look a bit more polished.
What really bothers me about people like them (and it comes back to the ability to perform) is that when Kirk brought out the Crocoduck, I honeslty couldn't decide if he's just a complete fool and moron or a dishonest SOB, trying to play the audience's own likely unfamiliarity with evolution.
Did anyone else notice that Comfort's closing statements about a man from the past being unable to understand a television would have been a much better argument for the RSS?
If a 100 year old man couldn't comprehend TV and comes up with his own (wrong) theory that someone is actually in the box, surely a bunch of 2,000 year old people could be expected to have come up with far worse nonsense when confronted with a world they couldn't possibly understand around them.
