Playing grammar cop for a minute:
Nathan, that's "for all INTENTS AND purposes", not "for all intensive purposes". Yes, I made the same mistake myself... just a pet peeve.

"Women want no-string sex"--gee, that sounds familiar. In fact, that was tried in the 60s and 70s (mostly).
The men said, "great!", had sex with the women, and then either deseted them to deal with the unwanted pregnancy or illegitimate children on their own, or else became jealous and violent: after all, if she was willing to have sex with *me* at a drop of a hat, she would probably be willing to do the same with others, unless I watch her like a hawk.
The practical result of the no-string sex ethics is a string of men who either desert you or treat you with constant, suspicious jealousy. What is impossible (in practice) to get with no-string sex is a lover who is also a friend who trusts you and cares about you.

Franky, this article is merely an obvious rationalization of the desire to cheat. It is easier to cheat and then tell your outraged wife, "But, my dear, don't you know your jealousy is a Darwinian relic of our evolutionary past?" than to be faithful, after all.
I fail to see any real difference between this latest excuse the previous ones--from "men naturally want to spread their genes" (of course, when *that* excuse is used, all of a sudden surrending to our Darwinian nature is good, or at least inevitable) to "my wife doesn't understand me".

Speaking of Prof. Dawkins daughter--I wonder what he would say if her fiancee would tell him that he had "risen above" primitive, Darwinian morality, and full expects to have as much sex as possible with other women after his marriage to Dawkins' daughter without any jealousy on her part.
