Awesome summation. You are right, the Creationists have no answer for science other than, "Uumm, God did it...."
Funny thing is, they will use science when it suits them while denying its implications. Kinda like PETA. Check out the PETA clips, Parts 1 - 3 from Penn and Teller's show, especially the the third part, you'll appreciate them.

Ouch.
For some reason I feel severely chastized and I feel the need to purchase gift certificates and bon-bons, not necessarily in that order.
But forsake the murderous kittens??? Never!!! They are too cute. Even the great and powerful Juxta must admit that.
And besides, massage parlors are over rated if you know a good massage therapist.

I was lucky enough to not have to go to church as a young child, though I did grow up in Anderson, Indiana, Universal Headquarters of the Church of God and let me tell you, I felt its cold grip upon the Universe!! Seriously, I did go to church sometimes in my teens because my friends and girlfriends did, but I never took any of it seriously. Did you know that Church of God does communion? Very surreal afternoon let me tell you...
Now I live in Charlotte, home of Billy Graham, and if there ever was a place entrenched in dogma, it is here. God is linked to everything commercial to boost business. You haven't seen anything until you see a lot of independent plumbers and electricians running around with 'God' or 'Jesus' prominently displayed on their van. Very surreal and, at least to me, obviously pandering to the public. Evangelizing appears out of nowhere and at weird times. Biting my tongue happens occasionally, but it is sometimes to keep from laughing in someone's face. I do look perplexed sometimes, only because I feel sorry for the ignorant. The world is too awesome to say God made it.

"Infidel" is right after I finish "The End of Faith" and "Letter To A Christian Nation".
I still can't figure out why so many women follow Christianity when it clearly states this in 1 Timothy 11 - 15:
11A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 12I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. 13For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. 15But women will be saved through childbearingâ€"if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.
Christianity has the capability to be just as restrictive as Islam.
I figure their happiness is through ignorance. I had a woman tell me that it was the women of Islam that were at fault, because all they had to do was march for their freedoms just as women did in this country. When I tried to explain that meant rape, torture and death which is not something easy to face or overcome, especially when you have known no other life, she shrugged it off and said none of that would happen. I guess the fact that those things have occurred and continue to occur escape her.

If you have seen the youtube Submission Part 1, you have seen it all.

According the Wiki (grain of salt), this is what Ayan has to say:
'Hirsi Ali has stated she would like to make a sequel to the movie because "By not making 'Submission Part II,' I would only be helping terrorists believe that if they use violence, they're rewarded with what they want." When asked if she would submit to threats against her life, she said "Not me."'

I'm not sure Christians have "learned to take it on the chin." As you well know by being a citizen of theses United States, every year we get to hear about "The War on Christmas" ad nauseam. But, we are lucky enough to live in a country that has a constitution based on the rights of man, not the rights of the church and the founding fathers wrote it that way! Intentionally!!! Imagine that!!
Though the Right wants this to be the United Christian States, they do not have the law on their side, not yet.
Never if I have my say.

I see you know the Book of Julia Childs well. Of course you will remember 4:69:77:666:1-2
"Tho the lion lay with the chocolate moose ye must remember 3 swigs of sherry for every 1 in the pan must be drank, I mean offered, to the God.
Yeah, tho the world world is cool, God Kevin is cooler than ye all."
This is of course from the NKL translation.

Once again proving there is no good reason to join the Catholic Church as a priest or nun. The desire for family and children has always worked against this and will continue to do so.
Yeah Biology!
Plus, this Pope's hard-line tactics seem to be imploding the Vatican. Any thoughts?

I know Fox News isn't popular here, sometimes they do seem to be less than fair and balanced, but they did post this Associated Press article last November and their Scitech news section is pretty good.
