No such thing as selfless acts, humans do most of their acts for their own reasons. This is the design of natural selection I think since people that do things for others more than themselves probably got killed much easier.

3. The Psychology Behind Cults/Religion

Ofcourse our fear of death and our conformation to a misguided society keep us from seeing how beautiful the world is and looking for heaven while its under our noses. Religions decreases those fears by telling us death is not real and this is not the only life we are going to live. Can you blame people for believing it? Any animal's greatest fear including the human being is death. Thats a product of natural selection i think.

4. The Moral Instinct

I think it depends. Mother Teresa did some good things, I mean charity and all, but she was narrow minded, hateful toward homesexuals, and as dumb as a jellyfish. Bill Gates was a great man donated billions to charity, created the best thing we have in the 21st century. I think that hes genius but not my favourite of all time. Norman I think is my favourite of the three, a man with Intelligence. Did great thing for world hunger. Teresa is my least favourite.
