Comment #212942 by History_Junky on July 17, 2008 at 10:06 pm
As a man of color I enjoyed this article. Thier is nothing more disgusting then people using genes, dna and pseudo-science and pseudo-history to get across their racist agenda. The danger of such propaganda is that whenever a group of people pretend that they understand history and science they cause allot of harm to the actual institutions.
All youd have to do is stumble across a white pride forum on the internet and the amount of people who spit around incorrect information about DNA to get thier point across and combine it with fake history is absolutely disgusting.
Thanks, this was a good read.

I think the Dali Lama forgot the part about how Buddhism use to be the dominate religion of the area today known as Pakistan and Afghanistan before the Arabs brought their religion....peacefully to the area.

Comment #209502 by History_Junky on July 12, 2008 at 12:54 pm
Id have to say that both the woman and her husband are unfortunately the product of a male dominated culture. You can easily blame the husband for making his wife submissive to him, but it becomes a little more tricky when you realize that the husband is the product of a specific culture just as the woman is.
Of course at the end of the day Id rather have her receive citizenship and educated about her rights and have her husband and male relatives thrown out.

I mixed up my islamic dictators, thanks for the correction.
Btw, genocide went way behind the 1500's, the history of the sikhs confirms this.
But getting back to the issue at hand, the western world needs to be careful with its dealings with Saudi Arabia. Any attempt to combat global terrorism with open hands extended towards Saudi Arabia will undermine the effort.

Good old Saudi Wahhabism, the same theological philosophy that led the mughals to genocide my people, they are still exporting it out to the world centuries later. It is of no surprise that madrasah's teach this Islamic viewpoint and in turn churn out terrorists. By supporting the Saudi government america is supporting that very thing that they have vowed to battle.

Ive never understood that bloody caste system. Its the 21s century and they are still adhering to beliefs that are millenia old. The problem with hinduism is that rather then dieing out along time ago, they just absorbed new ideas and beliefs that came into India.
This is as bad as when those students committed suicide because colleges were required to have a quota of lower caste students as issued by the government. I sure am happy that my parents made the right decision and got out of that backwards hell hole.
India may be doing well economically but unless they can educate the new generation beyond the caste system then it will be stuck in an economical rut.

If we want to stop this kind of behavior an occupation of the country will not help. If the west used the money it spends on war and instead decided to use that money to build schools with western education for free, I guarantee you will see a difference. Still wont stop some fucktards from being fucktards though, but its more viable then invading a country.

This reminds of the story of the muslim man who killed his wife and bargained for his freedom by trading the police a few goats.
I understand that these kinds of killings are a a result of culture, but its an aspect of culture that has been influenced by misogynistic religion.
Something interesting ive noticed is that when these killings happen in the hindu or sikh communities, which occurs much less frequently, they are hushed up and prevented from the information spreadings.
Muslims on the other hand seem to celebrate these barbarous events. None the less its quite barbaric whatever way it is approached but it shows how you have people on one hand who understand what they are doing is wrong and people on the other hand who see this as their duty.
Quite detestable.

Those are symbols to show you are a sikh, they do not hold any meaning beyond symbolism.
Do a little bit of reading, the original guru of sikhism advocated against rituals and superstitions, he sat infront of a hindu mandhir and ate meat to show them he wasnt going to be run over by a herd of cows.
Not only that but he did away with the caste system because he understood how utterly stupid it was.
But lemme guess, wearing a shirt with an A on it to show your an athiest is cool unlike wearing religous symobols to show your affiliation with a belief?
Sikhism is suppose to be formless and unritualistic, unfortunately islam and hinduism wanted to absorb sikhs so they developed thier own system to prevent thier extinction.
Like any religion it started off well but took on a life of its own.
Zomg gaiz im an athiest i can attack any religion i want without understanding that they are indeed different from one antoher.
edit: Btw, i was referring to the fact that my ancestors were better of converting to sikhism then remaining in the dogmatic religions of Islam and Hinduism not once was I implying that it was a source of reason. You need to cool your jets.

One of the things that made me grateful for belonging to the sikh heritage is that the religion was developed to do away with stupid rituals and superstitions like this.
Although ive never believed in god i have always considered sikhism more as a way of life and self identification, never the less I am glad that my ancestors chose to stray away from stupid rituals like this.

I can honestly say that I see this "controversy" being introduced into classes within the next 30 years. Yes its against the constitution but the constitution has been overlooked before. Also too many of Americas politicians are christian nutbags.

"So activists regrouped. Their new tactic: Embrace lessons on evolution. In fact, insist students deserve to learn more -- including classes that probe the theory for weakness. They believe -- and their opponents agree -- that this approach will prove more acceptable to the public and harder to challenge in court."
If high school kids had the knowledge to probe something as concrete as evolution for holes then they wouldn't be taking a senior class on biology.

Ben Steins intelligence is proven through his incredibly inaccurate doomsday scenario. Why the hell would China fire upon its own administered area and why the heck would China fire a nuke so close to its shores? The last time I checked Iran and Saudi Arabia were trying to patch things up, maybe Stein was afraid of talking about a possible nuclear holocaust descending upon Israel.
Also did anyone get the bit where he said science gives the notion that man is nothing more then mud and dirt hit by lightning? Sounds awfully similar to the bible story of adam and his creation. Poor saps getting his own fantasies mixed up with his horrible bigoted rantings.
Thanks for showing us how big of a douche you have to be in order for one to qualify as a creationist Mr Stein. Well played.
