Crowd: We have a witch! A witch!
Terry Jones: A witch? How do you know she is a witch?
John Cleese: She shrank my penis!
Terry Jones: (skeptically) Really?
John Cleese: It got better...

I was at his presentation in Arizona! He said it was the largest crowd he had ever spoken to. If that can happen here in Arizona, there is hope for the wirld after all!

RobDinsmore: Well, I'm in school right now, and if anyone came out they would be socially shunned by members of the same gender. In fact, 'gay' is basically a substitute for stuoid, like "THat's gay". It isn't even used mostly in a homophobic manner.
5. The Art of Creating Controversy Where None Existed

"To some extent, Stephen Colbert is - for US audiences, at least - an Aristophanes. He has a lot of science-oriented people on his show, he deals with religion a LOT, and he's funny as all get out (IMO). He is able to be much harsher on people like Bill O'Reilly, while still being funny, than the also-funny Jon Stewart, because Colbert plays a hyper-religious character to great comic effect--and to great THINKING effect."
Interestingly though, the real Colbert (not the character he plays on TV) is catholic, and even teaches Sunday School. Wierd, because his show is awesome.

I disagree with BFKate's statements because:
1. A politicians opinions should matter, because their actions are based on their opinions
2. There is a difference between saying "I think she should resign because of her bigoted remarks" and "I think she should be forced to resign because of her bigoted remarks".
7. Richard Dawkins and Bill Maher

Too bad the Proff. wasn't on the panel, I thought he was going to be and that was a small disappointment.
Personally, I find Maher usually funny, and I watch his show. But yes, he has some very crazy ideas.
ANd incidentally, Maher is not an atheist, as he has explixitly stated. He says he views religion as a "burueacracy [I know I spelled it wrong] between man and god".

A mosque? Then more people would be mad, because taking offense is what Muslems live for. BUt yes, probably the same people wouldn't be mad.
Personally, I think it's kinda ugly. Also, I don't think art with controversial messages should be put in oublic parks. If you wanna have controversial art is fine, but why should the government put it on their property?
11. Cult leader Pyotr Kuznetsov tries suicide after realising he was wrong about doomsday
Comment #154844 by ME!0364 on April 3, 2008 at 7:55 pm
Dr. Benway: That's weird, because my little brother has autism and he does something very similar when he's angry...
I personally think that finding this article funny isn't bad. The image of a guy trying to commit suicide by hitting his head against a log, the idea that someone can have a 'specialist' knowledge of the apocalypse, or being given a cow by the authorities, or tha fact that they say the end of the world is in May and are giving up already in April are all really funny.
That said, I sincerely hope that the rest of the cultists leave the cave before it collapses or something.

If polluting is a sin, and humans breath out carbon dioxide(a greenhouse gas), than by the church's logic, all people in the world (even people in comas) are sinning by being alive...
