That may well be the scariest bit. All the school board people, and this guy, have probably been educated in the very school system they're now controlling, and look how they came out. Whether or not the allegations are true in this case, how many jury decisions do you think are influenced by jurors religious beliefs without the benefit of Bibles present as proof? I doubt the weak-minded faithful would turn off their religious convictions just because a judge gave them instuctions to be rational...

I'm a chemical engineer and an atheist. I do have a number of religious co-workers, but since we generally don't discuss religon at work it's hard to tell the split. It's probably a good thing we don't discuss it since I'm sure I'd offend their delicate faith anyway :)
