You have no idea the shit that some of the people on this continent believe.

Down here in South Africa the witch doctors tell people that raping a virgin can cure HIV/AIDS. And recently several little boys have had their penises cut of so that sangomas (witch doctors/traditional healers)can make muthi (medicine) out of them.

Every so often you also hear of rural women being burned alive in their huts after being accused of witchcraft.

The crap that some of the indigenous religions believe make the crap Xians believe look positively benign.

I disagree with Negasta that Wolpe is a moron beyond compare. I mean, seriously? Worse than D'Souza? Naw. The man (Wolpe) is obviously intelligent and its a shame he didn't put that intellect into something more worthwhile than Judaism.

Ah yes, I forget about our old pal Dinesh! Yes, nobody beats him for sheer stupidity and vapidity.

I agree that the Rabbi is probably an intelligent man who wasted his life advocating a fantasy. His apparent stupidity is probably the result of the putrid material he has to work with in defending his faith.

I also immediately lose any regard for a theistic opponent of the New Atheists when they bring up the HMS argument (as the Rabbi did), because it has been so thoroughly debunked so many times.

I'm about 1 hour in and all I can say is that the good Rabbi is massively out of his depth. He is also a moron beyond compare. I would think that after having themselves being corrected and humiliated with regard to this question in every debate they have with one of the New Atheists.

He got so solidly trounced by Harris, I wonder when he will again have the gall to show his face in intellectual company.
