Ugh. Was it really necessary to have 50 Steve, Mitchell and Dr Doctor posts in a row? Try not to post every 2 minutes guys.

2. Character Attacks: How to Properly Apply the Ad Hominem

Where do I begin with this sorry excuse for an article? Yvonne Raley is a Nazi, anything she says cannot be trusted. Also, I have met her in person, and let me tell you, she sure stinks! Literally, she smells bad. No one who smells that bad ever says anything right! My uncle Joe taught me that - he spent his life studying wrongness and odor levels. He also funnily enough disproved the link between smoking and cancer! He smoked 4 packs a day and died during sex at age 102. Suck on that scienticians!

3. Storm erupts over 'virginity' divorce

Someone please tell me how to quote so I don't do this in the future:

"The same clause has been used in French courts to annul marriages in which one person discovered only afterwards that the other had concealed a divorce or had a physical or mental disability that made a normal sexual life impossible."

Well that just about sums it up doesn't it. Looking at it purely secularly, seems that *concealment* of anything that one spouse deems essential results in an annulment in France. And to that I merely yawn. I too think this should result in a regular divorce, but then again I don't see the point of annulments in general. Either way, this isn't a religious issue.

Well the questions asking about how people view you and what you like to do are the interesting questions here. Obviously the religious folk will be on one side of most of the religious questions and the atheists on the other.

5. Open Letter to a victim of Ben Stein's lying propaganda

Excellent letter.

At first I assumed the message from David J was a prank, but you can never be sure of these things, can you. In any case somebody out there actually believes in the things David J said so an open letter like this is necessary.

Maybe he thinks the noises snakes make naturally is a kind of language. You know like Parseltongue from Harry Potter. :p

7. Inadequate, private and late apology with grotesquely inadequate excuse

So what? Are we really so thin-skinned that we can't take that, and just vote against her at the next election? I thought that was just Muslims.

You miss my point.

Why would a non-apology from Davis mean we should stop complaining about her? That's what some people were saying here. Before her 'apology' these people wanted Davis to do something, and somehow, someway, these people were satisfied once this pathetic non-apology happened. What I was pointing out was that Davis' 'apology', if anything, should anger atheists more.

To all those who say "She apologized, the end":

She insulted an ENTIRE CLASS of people. Did she apologize to atheists generally? Did she disavow her comments? No, she did not. To quote the story:

Sherman says Davis told him she "took out her frustrations and emotions on me and that she shouldn't have done that."

She is apologizing for speaking / yelling and NOT *for what she actually said*! Her "apology" is just as insulting as her initial words to Sherman!
She should, if she had any brains or class, apologize to us for what she said. And in case that isn't clear enough here's a hypothetical:

Me (to Davis): You black people are all alike! You're all lazy unless you are busy robbing people! Get out of here!
*Media Shitstorm*
Me: Hey Mrs. Davis, I was annoyed. Shouldn't have said that stuff to you. Toodles!

Come on guys, that isn't even close to sufficient.

Prankster, perhaps you are right. I know nothing about this Sherman guy, but it seems like many people online are annoyed with his antics so revealing a private conversation to CBS may be usual behavior for him. I frankly don't really care about that though and neither do you.

More importantly:

The fact that she insulted a whole class of people and only apologized to one is ridiculous (Imagine if she publicly insulted all Jews! Apologizing to only one would make everyone even more pissed off!). Also, the fact that she blamed her BIGOTRY on some random kid getting killed is even more ridiculous.

Rep. Davis is pathetic.

From what I can gather, she didn't tell CBS, Sherman did. Davis didn't actually publicly apologize - she apologized in private. And even worse she only apologized to Sherman. She offended all atheists (by implying they were dangerous and had no right to participate in government) and yet she only privately apologized to one.

That's not going to cut it.
