Isn't this a classic example of poe's Law?

From wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poe's_law

"Poe's Law relates to the impossibility to parody extremism. In particular, it addresses the difficulty of distinguishing fundamentalism from parodies of fundamentalism. Generally, it suggests that it's hard to tell fake fundamentalism, from the real thing, since they will both often sound ridiculous".
