Not an American way of life but western in general. Yes, populations can be oppresses and people murdered, and "democracies overturned becuase the alternative is much much worse. The people of the arab world tend to vote religious, and the essence of democracy is that it needs to protect itself, all over the west you have parties that were outlawed becuase they preach undemocratic ideas, so they are outlawed to protect us all. The arab world does not understand democracy, so I prefer Saddam all day long who keeps the religous mad man in check than any other religious leader. Who do you prefer the oppressor shaa of Iran, or the crazy Humaini?

You are a good man, but you miss the timeless qoute: The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
No matter how you look at history, our biggest enemy today is Islam(Islam is all radical in my eyes), it is the enemy of free thinking, progress, freedom, life, women and science. If Israel need money to fight Islam, so be it. Israel, weather jewish or not, is not muslim and that's all I care about and it seems like you are missing that point.

Why are you such a knee-jerk supporter of a country that can't survive on its own staying where it is and pissing off half the world in the process - Jewish or non-Jewish?

I agree with most of your comment, but than you come and write this, and totaly contradict yourself. Appeasement is not in your vocabulary, but you think it should be in Israel's vocabulary?
In my opinion Israel is the defender of the west and stands fast for 60 years against these muslims in a never ending battle(You know that fanatics will never stop fighting). While muslims have Israel to fight they can't focus on fighting europe, and if you were living in Israel what would you ask your goverment to do?
We, the atheists, must understand that religious people have an advantage over us in the sense that they will send heards of willing fighters to die in their cause and we don't have that. Why aren't we using our advantage to fight the war, our science, inventions, progress?
Appeasement is not in my vocabulary, nor do I want it to be in any westren nation's vocabulary.

Dear Nairb,
5 million "good" muslims in France? People, in their base, are good. The argument is about culture, and I feel that my culture is being threatend by the invasion of another unrelated to my world. If you run away from your backwards country than leave your backwards culture behind as well. It took europe two thousand years to come to what it is today, let the arabs take their own time and fix their problems. I'm sure these 5 million "good" muslims can help.

How are we going to stop these fanatics from coming to our sweet west and slowly changing our world to fit their agenda?
There will be no point in talking to thses people, we must not let them in. If there are some good ones among them they should stay there and try to change their culture.
