We have "Infidel" to hand. The problem with that being simply that it can apply to someone who follows another religion than our own. More precisely we may use "Nullifidian". And this scores in having a slightly threatening, Star-Trek gravitas about it. We are the Nullifidians. You are surplus to reason.

The term "Bright" won't do. It is simply lame. Uncool. Horribly contrived. It sounds like something the child of a Stepford-wife would call himself in science lessons. "Hi, I'm Sparky and I'm a Bright". While I can see how the example of "Gay" has served to provide a sort of precedent - the coinage is horrid.

I think the quote you're half-remembering is: "a brick, a bolt, a bar, a cup - invariably falls down. Not up."
