1. Religion's Real Child Abuse

Rachael's childhood experience is so mirrored by my own that I feel it is redundant to add my story. But I do think we need to examine how children are raised to see and experience spirituality.
The human element in the world's main religions can be boiled down to the Golden Rule. This is not religious - we have evolved to be empathetic. Insomuch as religions have reflected this, we should celebrate them as an expression of developing human consciousness.
If religion turns into a weapon we use to control either children or adults, we need to squash it like a bug.
But due to the fact that Richard Dawkins is so charismatic, we must also be careful about how we see his message.
Professor Dawkins, I object to your use of the word "convert," because the term is usually only associated with religious groups. I am not a scientist, but an artist... and I like your way of putting things. It is clear and humorous. But I must say I look forward to seeing more like-minded scientists sharing the spotlight with you.
