1. Religion's Real Child Abuse

If you call it child abuse when someone tells a child that some people he knows are going to hell, then what do you call it when someone tells him that he was the product of a natural process, that his life is no more significant than that of a bacterium, that there is no purpose in life, no morality, no hope for anything better? That even parental love has no higher meaning than that it evolved to better pass a parent's genes on to future generations? What kind of a mark do you think that makes on a child?
