'The God Delusion' is rated as a "staff favorite" at our local bookstore:)
That's cool! At my local Chapters bookstore they hide anything by Dawkins (or Harris for that matter)back in the Religion section...although I did find The Ancestor's Tale in Science.

"an omnipotent and omniscient deity seems about as likely a being as the Tooth Fairy."

september said-"I'm amazed that an educated person such as yourself had to google for a definition of postmodernism." I am an educated person. I don't know what postmodernism is. You are a self professed scholar of postmodernism. Could you enlighten me with a definition of what you study?

She added, however, that the European Union was not a "Christian club" and stressed the need for tolerance of all religions in the bloc.
Geez, I can't take it anymore. Angela wants to move secular Germany toward Christianity, but of course she can't piss off the Muslim Turk immigrants because who would sweep the streets and do her yard work?

"Atheists like the Richard Dawkins of this world are just as fundamentalist as the people setting off bombs on the tube,"

Posting a comment at CNN Feedback is very telling. Comments will not be accepted unless you check a little box indicating your response is either "positive" or "negative". Shades of grey are not allowed. This attitude seems to extend in front of the camera as well.

"Christianity made a lot of sense. It gave me a new way of seeing and understanding the world, above all, the natural sciences. Second, I discovered Christianity actually worked: it brought purpose and dignity to life."
Proof in his own words that Professor McGrath is a theist because it provides him comfort. Whether God actually exists is irrelevant.
