1. T. rex tissue shows they are related to chickens

Im interested to know if anybody has a response to Friend Giskard's comment #31456. Is it possible that T Rex could be more closely related to chickens or even the Phasianidae family or galliformes order than to any other type of bird?

Another tale in what Sam Harris described as the ongoing saga of scientific discovery and religious forfeiture. We should be heartened that this person has aknowledged a biological link to homosexuality, its a shame that he can't then acknowledge the hypocrisy of his religious beleifs when its staring him in the face.

I think I would not have minded the mocking if they were mocking the ideas that Dawkins actually has. Instead they seem to buy into the same misinformation that the public already has of both atheism and evolution.
They can do what they want for all I care – it’s just that I, personally, don’t find South Park funny. I happened to catch said episode and found the bit where the teacher was Straw-Manning evolution in front of the kids to be pretty funny. Everything else was just a bit – eh.

There is no way a decomposed body can come to life in a new spiritual
environment.
SO-O-O-O-O - - -they came
up with something called the "soul". They made sure
it was INCORPOREAL(wow!)
so it couldn't be disproven by the party- poopers.
The problem is, there are tons of crazy claims out there that can't be disproven.
The BURDEN of PROOF rests
with the True Believer!
7. Religion's Real Child Abuse

this religious abuse thing has brought some memories that i had buried deep inside me from when i was a litle boy and still attending catholic church/mass.... i clearly remember how, among many many things... there was one particular thing that i found sordid and that always perturbed my subconscious... something that was bothering me deep inside me but i wasnt able to comprehend, sort out and let alone express... there was soemthign REALLY BAD going on that didnt 'click' in place with what i was being preached at the church (supposedly be good, love and forgiveness) and that was that all those images of crying, bleeding, suffering "saints" were there, for all to see and adore when they had nothing to do with love and happiness... for many years this little trauma grew inside of me and was never able to funnel out until my adolescence when i stopped being a catholic... its just.. very yougn as a kid i knew that such religion had to be at war with human nature and the sane development of human existance... i just knew this was wrong but i guess i was still a bit too young to be able to realize it... so yea, in a way i guess we can say i was also a victim of child religious abuse.. and currently i am a hardc0re activist against all kinds of religion, mysticism and fanatism because i realized that every other religion out there had its share of sickening stuff... i can only say, if i ever have a chance to have and raise my own children they will hear the truths behind religion, human nature, sex and there will be no taboos whatsoever so they can open their eyes, minds and be truly free. Then they will of course, be free to take on any "beliefs" they decide to follow... but i doubt once they know the TRUTH they will be stupid enough to allow confusion blur their reality ;)

It’s been said a few times already, but “and who just ‘did’ God then” was pretty cool!

Indeed. Why should the last three posters have bothered constructing a rational argument when a good ad hominem will do. Why bother to really understand what irony is, let alone the actual point of the article you’re describing as being an example of it.
That all sounds like too much work, just post something blustery instead.
