Brilliant. Makes a nice change to see American actors involved in something other than their moronic cults. Yes that's you Cruise, Travolta et al.

Damn I can only find a Koran.
There'll be rioting moslems in the streets of Somerset tonight. (Sounds funnier if say this in a Scottish accent.)

Thanks DanPinto. I was struggling with my lesson plan for my science class on Monday but now I'm sorted.
Cheers,
bwana ndege.

What a great place to go binge drinking. Got pissed at Disneyworld once. Pirates of the Caribbean was particularly good. AND people to take the mick out of. BONUS!
Obviously I wouldn't pay to get in.

"Does this not violate the separation of church and sleet?"
Had a visit to my school from a catholic priest yesterday. My suggestion that he be searched for any video recording equipment went down well.

20% chance of light showers predicted for next tuesday in Georgia I see from the National Weather Service. Do you think he's got their website in his favourites?

Anecdotal and statistically insignificant it may be but on talking to my students at a secondary school in the UK they invariably say that RE is their least favourite subject.
Please let this be a representative sample.

...fear not, my anti human friends, and be of brave heart. There is an asteroid out there with our name on it.
10. Interview with Richard Dawkins about 'The Enemies of Reason'

I thought they (well Richard) were quite reasonable although it is obvious that Judy had some 'issues'. Her xtian symbol of torture seemed to be particularly prominent in this clip.

I would be interested in reading a serious well-researched critique of Buddhism from a humanist/rationalist perpective.

I used to be the same, but my girlfriend, who is a non-practicing Jew, has taught me all the quirks of Orthodox Judaism. For instance, did you know that a husband is not allowed to touch his wife (anywhere) when she is menstruating?

RD must have the patience of a saint having to deal with all these supposedly intelligent people who just don't get it.
Sorry couldn't think of anything else with lots of patience. A hospital maybe?
14. Scientists Link Housecats to Wildcat Subspecies

YouTube posts videos of the popular U.S. 'cat herding' commercial; some posters here have compared atheists to cats- independent and difficult to group.
15. Hitchens and Prager Debate
Comment #46345 by bwana ndege on May 31, 2007 at 2:16 am
Pragers comment about the population decreasing in western Europe being symptomatic of some kind of secular moral decline - I just don't get it (apart from him wanting more indoctrinees for the religionists). Surely this is a good thing. ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM AND ALL THAT.
(Capitalism and supernaturalism trumping common sense I think - on reflection).

17. Richard Dawkins at The Sunday Times Oxford Literary Festival
Comment #28255 by bwana ndege on March 28, 2007 at 2:33 pm
It seems to me and its a very important question I think and would want to explore more thoroughly the idea that if we put it another way we should and we have to be very clear about that and it seems to me that the point needs to be made as there is a real issue here I think. Or so it seems to me.
Not a particularly incisive critique but A McGrath DOES MY HEAD IN!

This is my first post so I'm going totally off-topic (apart from casting my vote for RD). I'm a science teacher and am using the DVD sent by TIS a few months ago (and others I reordered)as coasters in the science staffroom. Just thought I'd mention it.
It's great to know there are so many like-minded individuals out there. We must win this one!
