The reference to Carbon 14 like this is the only dating method, no mention of Potassium-Argon or Uranium-Thorium-Lead dating. As for both humans and machines being fallible, the comment made that at least the human can "reason, think and extrapolate", no mention that humans are susceptible to misinterpretation, bias, doubt, senses being fooled etc.

You can hardly be surprised what with George Bush's stance on global warming, as for Frosty Hardison, I suppose she would like all the Apocalyptic views that other religions take to be shown on the DVD, so that hers and others children will be fully informed? Or maybe she would like, as Dan Dennet proposes, teaching all the main religions equally and unbiased to children?

I would like to see the figures for the number of atheists/agnostics compared to theists that follow or give credence to ID. If... Irreducible Complexity was found and accepted to be so by evolutionary biologists, Dawkins included, how many ID followers would look for further answers as to the identity of the 'designer/s' and say no more, and how many would use it as proof for God and in particular the God of their religion?

Developing the point Munger made, it was interesting that at no point did Andy Macintosh say 'Intelligent Designer/Designers', again if irreducible complexity is found, there is no reason to immediately jump to belief in a god (You can bet that most ID followers would jump to belief in the Christian God), belief that a superior 'alien' race designed and put us here is the first thing one should look to, even then this does not mean that the superior race could have not evolved themselves. Dawkins himself has said something similar, albeit much better put across, thought id mention it anyway.

It might be of interest to you to hear McGrath's recent speech, it lasts well over an hour (maybe 2...i lost track). It will give you an idea of what his book is about, if you dont wish to wait or line his pockets.
