Im a hiphop artist and most people seem to regard my lyrics as intelligent thank you very much... bit of a broad statement from poster no.1 . Id like to think some people might learn something from my work actually.
(Richard Dawkins is listed as a hero in my debut album inlay, whether he'd appreciate this or not is a moot point)

2. Why there are almost no genuine atheists

quite apart from the issue of the origin of morals which Dawkins has covered comprehensively and convincingly (in fact the whole issue is fairly common-sense if you just think about it for a little while), why does wanting to preserve the environment have to become a moral issue? surely its a case of whether or not one would be happy or not to live in a world with a severely diminished environment, so to some extent just self-interest? In the grand scheme of things it doesnt really matter, as after we are gone life will return to full diversity in time (quite a long time), and of course in the long run it will all go extinct, so its really a case of what kind of world we wish to live in.
