No but i have gone to a school with a majority Muslim population and then on to a 6th form attached to a church school; I know which i preferred! Islam may be bad but i find it no worse than Christianity and i like it a fuck lot more than Scientology.

I was a little dissapointed at the Muslim card. Personally I don't find Islam any worse than other major religions; the card had the potential to be a lot more funny than simply reiterating the longstanding stereotype of 'Islam is the most extreme religion and no one else is nearly as mad'. Other than that god trumps FTW!!

insulin was made by transferring preexisting genetic information into bacteria. Craig Venter has gone one step further by actually constructing his own chromosome from its base materials, theoretically this technology will enable us to create genetic code for anything we want to.

once again i find myself annoyed at the constant insinuation that the horrific reign of terror governed by Stalin had anything do do with so called 'faith' in communism. Stalin simply used the situation in Russia at the time to install himself as nothing more than a despot dictator. The famines and purges he presided over where nothing to do with communism and everything to do with his continued control over the population through fear. If anyone bothered to read Marx's manifesto before preaching of the evils of communism then you will see that places such as the USSR and China have never been communist in anything more than name. Communism is not a religion it is simply a political system based on the principals of economic equality and the abolishment of exploitation of the poor.

Of course my use of language is slightly melodramatic flying spaghetti monster, its just the way i tend to speak. And in response to my use of the word evil, yes it is a relative term and yes it probably wasn't used in entirely the right context but it was just the word that came to me first. it does not however, detract from my point that so called 'moderate' Christians are simply ignoring the finer points of their religion. you either believe that the bible is the word of god, in which case you have no excuse not to be persecuting homosexuals or it is not the word of god. if it is not then why believe the religion at all? both you (i hope), me and all these 'moderates' feel that persecuting people because of there sexuality is wrong, if we all agree that this particular area of scripture is not true then why should any of it be true, it all comes from the same source!

These christians are right! to be a good christian you should persicute and hate gays as this is what the bible says and as we all know the bible is the word of god!

actions like these against good, loving and totaly inoccent people shows us the true evil of religion. To be a 'moderate' christian is simply to ignore the parts of religion you do not like.
in order to prevent mindless violence and hatrid against minoritys such as gays and atheists we must stop the power of organised religion.
