1. Hitchens and Boteach Debate on God

Comment #126562 by Kamahuakala on February 13, 2008 at 2:37 pm

I thought the debate was supposed to be about God. Boteach never presented a positive case for God's existenced. All he did was try, in a most pathetic manner, to rebut Hitchens. After listening to the whole thing I had to conclude Boteach apparently thought the propsotion of the dabate was:

Christopher Hitchens is not Great.

The essential thing to understand about Shmuley Boteach, in my opinion, is that he belongs to the Chabad-Lubavitch Jewish sect. These are the followers of the Late Manachem Schneerson, who died in 1994. These people believe Schneerson will rise up out of his grave and announce himself as the long awaited Messiah. They have a video camera focussed on the man's grave to capture the very moment this happens.

I wonder if the producers of "What the Bleep Do We Know" used the same deceptive tactics to lure respected scientists into appearing in that ridiculous cinematic promotion of the religion of Post Modernism?

Cosmos and a history of religion should be required courses for every high school student in this nation and the world.

Outrageous! What else is there to say? And yet, what else can we expect from a nation with a former President, George H. W. Bush, who believes that you can't be a good American unless you believe in god. I have no doubt the current President completely agrees with his father on that point.

I like the part where he says God is not of Space, Time or Matter and yet he can use PHYSICS to prove God exists. Does anyone else find this laughable?
...

Yeah, I fell out of chair laughing until I thought about his poor students who listen to his BS and try to get a decent grade from him.
