Cyboman, I have listened to three of his books (which he personally read, with Lalla Ward): TGD, The Ancestor's Tale, and River out of Eden.

This is good news. I hope that stem cell research wouldn't be hampered by religious crusaders anymore.

Too much hatred against idiotic religiosity has blinded some people here to the fact that they're losing their rights. I wonder if they agree with SLAPP tactics too, cause this is what the lawsuit is going to be. It may not scare the Phelps, but it has the potential to have a chilling effect on other protesters, especially if this case gets upheld and a bad precedent is made.
Sorry, but I'm too much of a freedom lover (living in a country with fewer liberties than the US) to agree with the ruling. Overturn it and let the US continue to be a beacon of freedom for the rest of us (that is, once the current regime leaves office).

Is this video available for offline viewing? My connection is pretty erratic and I'm afraid that my stream will buffer every 5 seconds...

I have both the paperback and audiobook of TGD. Now I don't know if I should read it first or just listen to the book on my mp3 player. =
BTW, I thoroughly enjoyed The Ancestor's Tale audiobook even though it's abridged. I did read the book before getting the audiobook version.
6. Darwin 'was committed to publish'

I hope to read van Wyhe's paper if ever it goes online. While Darwin is indeed determined to publish his insight into transmutation, I do believe that there is some trepidation on Darwin's part due to the controversial nature of his theory.
For instance, he likens telling Joseph Hooker about his theory as "confessing a murder." And he gave his wife money to have his book published, after his death.
Could it be that Darwin pursued his other research projects because he is afraid of thinking too much about his transmutation theory?
