Comment #37874 by simplemind on May 6, 2007 at 4:25 am
is this army of jihadi Muslims he refers to in the jails afro Americans by any chance?
Afro Americans who just hate the system??
A white system???
Im not buying into this American parnoya that its, "because where a christian nation".
and atheists shouldnt be getting embroiled in the whos the best whos the worse religeon argument.
Churches work better in poor areas as do betting shops, lets improve living standards for all humans and then see what happens. two thirds of the world population lives on less than a dollar a day.So that means most only have hope and most are ready to gamble what little they have to better there life.

Love Maher or hate him but i appreciate anybody willing to put them self in the front line of what is a very dangerous and hostile enviroment. The US bible bashing happy clappers are as vicious as they are ultra good.
Maher is not the most eloquent of speakers or the most well informed for a quick response but the more people that draw this debate to a more public arena the more we can hope to break the indoctrnation of the younger generations.

People forget how Ataturk made the country secular - by excessive bloodshed and repression
And just who exactly were repressed?
I have read many books on Ataturk probably the best of which was by Mango and i cant say i saw anything of repression.
Infact i would have to say fairly the opposite.

its all so beutifull and yet we are still here fighting amongst our self, just think how much we could have explored by now if we really had the mind to?
Think of all the billions spent on war,the repessed state of mind religeon breeds.
We are my freinds living in a state of arrested development.

9. The Video: Bill O'Reilly Interviews Richard Dawkins
Comment #34834 by simplemind on April 25, 2007 at 11:53 am
Dissapointed to see Richard on a show like that.
O'Reilly makes a living out of asking questians not allowing a proper responce and looking as though he knows what hes talking about!
A true admirer of your work but please dont get sucked into the circus Richard.

Yes thankyou that man!!
This is one area i do not agree with Sam.Religeon is just the excuse but as per usual the motive is money.
lets not forget that Bush had good trade links with bin laden.
11. The God disunion: there is a place for faith in science, insists Winston
Comment #34823 by simplemind on April 25, 2007 at 11:20 am
Well clearly Winston has suffered at the hands of a religeous upbringing and has issues which most religeous people have.Hes intelligent enough to know that science fact out weighs the religeous fiction but living in his own world of denial as most of them seem to do.What can i say apart from im dissapointed as i was always keen on his style.

Comment #30965 by simplemind on April 10, 2007 at 1:15 pm
Nails.
its to do with hygeine nothing more nothing less.
It is actually more hygeinic, there isnt the build up of urine under the forskin which has the common word of smeg.
Comment #30952 by simplemind on April 10, 2007 at 12:31 pm
Is this a taste of atheist morbid curiousity?
i fail to see the interest of this.
We know of the tug of war between kids and parents so whats the relevance here? The mother is stressed and unable to communicate the son provoking a response and recording it.
its hardly material thats endorsing for atheists.
Maybe somone can convince me otherwise
19. Is God poison?
Comment #30943 by simplemind on April 10, 2007 at 12:09 pm
Yorker.
As with all basic instructions in the instruction manual of how to please god it was obviously to do with hygiene.
Having sufferd at the hand of the knife myself my only comment is its a great chat up line.

A truely handsome boy.
I use the words boy as apposed to man because as a father it matters not there age for they always remain your little boy.
I cant think of anything more tragic than your loss.As a lover of Jimmi Hendrix All Along The Watchtower figures on my ipod, the song will have a new meaning.
And i am at a loss for words, ill have a cry for your son and share your pain tonight.
Rgds
Bulent.
