1. Look Who's Irrational Now

Comment #250507 by donaldito on September 19, 2008 at 7:29 pm

Just like Time magazine's article on the poll, this article is EXTREMELY misleading right out of the gate. I believe the first sentence in the Time article ays "55% of ALL Americans believe blah blah..." Then in the next sentence it admits that the poll was of a whopping 1700 people. Of course makes no mention of the fact that people who are more apt to answer "yes" were more apt to bother responding at all. Useless.

2. Ben Stein 1, Yoko Ono 0 in 'Expelled' copyright spat

Ben Stein should smack himself in the face with a baseball bat, or maybe just a copy of Origin of Species.

3. Bill O'Reilly and Kirk Cameron on Atheism

Comment #52046 by donaldito on June 26, 2007 at 2:47 am

Kirk Cameron isn't even worth addressing he is such an absolute imbecile. If he wasn't already, and aside from anything else in that video, O'Reilly is an absolute retard, too, for saying NOTHING when Cameron showed that ridiculous picture. I like what someone wrote above: oxygen thieves.

4. Pundit Christopher Hitchens picks a fight in book, 'God is Not Great'

Comment #35866 by donaldito on April 29, 2007 at 6:13 am

The constantly made point by critics of Harris, Dawkins, and Hitchens here, about their books preaching to the choir, is mostly true. The fact is though, just a few years from now, what these critics will notice is that the choir will have grown. By simply getting the information out there (and we're certainly being bombarded lately), at least some children who are constantly indoctrinated by their parents and by other means will find this information and realize how ridiculous their parents' beliefs are. The choir is growing.
Addition: John P and I must have been writing at the same time... or I wouldn't have bothered. Although repetition is part of my point, isnt it?!

5. Study: Religion is Good for Kids

Comment #34959 by donaldito on April 25, 2007 at 6:03 pm

Of course I haven't read the paper, but it would seem to me a big problem with the study is that all they did, according to this article, is just ask the parents. Seems like an immediately and obviously weighted "study." Seems we need to round up some reputable economists for such a study that doesn't leave so much room for all the ifs, buts, and maybes mentioned at the end of the article.

6. The Video: Bill O'Reilly Interviews Richard Dawkins

Comment #34290 by donaldito on April 23, 2007 at 6:21 pm

What I would love to see is for Dawkins, Harris, or someone else go on the show and give him what he deserves. It seems like everyone is always so ready to have Bill jump down their troats that they don't bother inciting a real debate. Go on there and tell him he's no better than the 911 highjackers in terms of the faith that he holds in something with absolutely no proof. Tell him it's his fault for being a moderate Christian that allows for fundamentalism to exist and be tolerated. And punch him in the face if he yells or cuts your mic! :)

7. NEXT MONDAY: Bill O'Reilly interviews Richard Dawkins

Comment #34282 by donaldito on April 23, 2007 at 5:51 pm

One more quick thing: can we PLEASE now remove O'Reilly's face from the top of the damn page?! :)

8. NEXT MONDAY: Bill O'Reilly interviews Richard Dawkins

Comment #34279 by donaldito on April 23, 2007 at 5:43 pm

boring interview. O'Reilly threw out the same old bullshit (with zero to back up his opinions) and didn't give Dawkins time to give a good response to anything. One thing of note: RIDICULOUS how, above Dawkins's name was ATHEIST... nothing else, no description of his credentials.

9. Religion useless to Dawkins

Comment #29487 by donaldito on April 3, 2007 at 4:45 am

Wow, what a completely useless, uninformative article. I wonder how much she gets paid to write that column? She basically admits to being unable to understand the book, states thathe makes good arguments, but they are negated by his sarcasm. Hopefully she doesn't get paid much
