NZ and Australia tend to be ambivalent towards religion I have found .
Currently I am doing a renovation for a local pastor , he`s friend of my wifes family who are catholic so he probably thinks I am too,but if he had been around a couple of days ago he would have sacked me on the spot.
I smacked my head open(let out an almighty jesusfuckingchrist)...hehe 5 stiches.

Have`nt discussed religion with him yet but I know its coming .......

Well blow me down sport,never thought I`d see an aussie admit that.

I don`t know what the law is but from experience I never had any religious education in any state school,it just was`nt an issue .
Once my kids started school we had a note come home requesting permission for them to attend bible class if we wanted it .
My kids are now at secondary school and have got a science teacher as principal,have`nt had any feedback on this ID bullshit.
My opinion is that it is going to be a nonstarter no matter how much support it gets.
