The U.S. and NATO countries are backing Georgia, Russia is backing some group who wants to be separate. Also something about the transit of oil through the area.

Btw 85 with a slight overcast here, been very mild lately. I really hurt myself yesterday helping a jail-widow down the street feed her husband's horse. I used to live near the park on Grove Street in the '70's, near Haight/Ashbury. Now I live in the foothills N.E. of Sacramento. SF is a great place to live. If I could afford to buy there, it would be in my top 5 places to live in the U.S., Boston is also on the list...I lived there in the '80's for a few months.
