I used to live near the park on Grove Street in the '70's, near Haight/Ashbury. Now I live in the foothills N.E. of Sacramento. SF is a great place to live. If I could afford to buy there, it would be in my top 5 places to live in the U.S., Boston is also on the list...I lived there in the '80's for a few months.
